CAD Technician / Draughtsman / Design Technician / Design Engineer is required for global manufacturer based in Bristol. The CAD Technician / Draughtsman/ Design Technician / Design Engineer will be creating drawings of small or medium assemblies for customers using 3D CAD (Solidworks).
The successful CAD Technician / Draughtsman / Design Technician / Design Engineer must be commutable to their offices located in Bristol and have some design experience using 3D CAD.
Package
Up to £30,000 depending on experience

Role
Utilise 3D CAD (Solidworks) to create detailed designs of electro-mechanical fluid systems such as ensuring specifications are met and comply with relevant standards and regulation
Read and interpret CAD/P&ID drawings.
Make design decisions based upon manufacturability and will have freedom to optimise the layout to optimise based upon costing.
The ability to interprete 3D and 2D drawings.
Act as a point of contact for the manufacturing team, addressing any questions or concerns related to the design.
Provide clarification, guidance, or design modifications as needed to support smooth production.
Liaise with various engineering departments
Office based in Bristol
Requirements
Some experience as a CAD Technician / Draughtsman / Design Technician / Design Engineer / Mechanical Engineer or similar
Engineering qualification
3D CAD experience, Solidworks, Creo, Autodesk Inventor or similar
Ability to read and interpret CAD/P&ID drawings.
Must hold a Full UK Driving License and commutable from Bristol and surrounding areas such as Bath, Yate, Dursley and Thornbury.
