About the Role

A warm and nurturing Nursery attached to a well-regarded Primary School in Sandbach is seeking a caring, committed, and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from Tuesday 14th April.
This full-time position will run until the end of the Summer term, with a strong possibility of becoming a permanent role for a candidate who excels.

Key Responsibilities

Support the class teacher and EYFS staff in delivering high‑quality early years provision.
Assist with planning and implementing engaging, play‑based learning activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
Provide nurturing support to children aged 3-4, fostering positive relationships and encouraging their social, emotional, and academic development.
Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment both indoors and outdoors.
Observe children's progress and contribute to assessments and learning journals.
Support with personal care routines where required.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
Uphold the school's safeguarding, health & safety, and behaviour policies at all times.

Requirements

A relevant Early Years or Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) - essential.
Experience working within an Early Years or Nursery setting.
Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
Warm, patient, and nurturing approach to working with young children.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to use initiative and adapt to the needs of the children.
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
