Company: FINANCIAL DIVISIONS
Job Type: Permanent, FullTime
Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 per annum
This is a role for an experienced Paraplanner who enjoys the technical depth of financial planning — but also wants a genuine, structured pathway into becoming a Financial Adviser.
The business is a directly authorised, FCA-regulated financial planning firm in London, delivering highly bespoke, holistic advice across complex client situations. The focus is on proper financial planning, not product-led sales, with a strong emphasis on understanding clients in depth and building long-term, meaningful relationships.
This opportunity has been created for a Paraplanner to work directly alongside an adviser, supporting high-quality financial planning for a portfolio of established clients, with a clear route to taking on those clients over time in an adviser capacity.
The Opportunity
You’ll join a close-knit planning team supporting a Chartered Financial Planner, alongside a financial planning administrator and relationship manager.
You’ll play a central role in building detailed, technical financial plans while developing the experience and confidence needed to progress into an adviser role.
This is a genuinely varied position where you can stay close to complex financial planning work while gradually stepping into client-facing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing detailed research, analysis and financial planning recommendations
- Building complex cashflow models to support long-term client strategy
- Writing high-quality suitability reports and technical planning documents
- Supporting holistic financial planning across pensions, investments, tax, and estate planning
- Attending client meetings with the adviser and gradually increasing client exposure
- Working closely with the adviser on complex planning cases
- Supporting specialist areas including family law financial planning and trust-related work
- Ensuring all recommendations are technically robust and clearly communicated
About You
You will ideally be:
- Chartered or working towards Chartered status
- Technically strong, with a genuine interest in complex financial planning
- Comfortable building detailed financial analysis and cashflow models
- Confident working closely with advisers and clients
- Ambitious, with a clear desire to progress from Paraplanner into a Financial Adviser role
What’s on Offer
- Salary to £80,000
- Discretionary bonus scheme (circa 10%)
- Pension scheme (employer 5% / employee 3%, rising to 10% employer contribution)
- Group life assurance
- Income Protection
- Private Medical Insurance
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing with service up to 30 days + bank holidays)
- Additional birthday and Christmas shopping days
- Full exam support through to Chartered Financial Planner status (2 study days per exam)
- Monthly and quarterly team social events
- Flexible and remote working after probation
This is an excellent and rare opportunity for a Paraplanner who wants more than just report writing — and is ready to step towards a long-term adviser career within a high-quality financial planning environment.
