Location: Harrisburg, PA Local Candidates only Overview This candidate serves as an Information Security Analyst within the Information Security Office of Pennsylvania s Infrastructure and Economic Development IT Delivery Center. Work location is 1400A Cameron Street, Harrisburg, PA 17103. Job Responsibilities The successful candidate will provide administration and maintenance activities to protect the Commonwealth s security infrastructure including firewall, encryption technologies, hardening tools, and antivirus protection. Identify and optimize programs and services to reduce costs. Utilize NIST Framework, CIS Benchmarks, business processes, IT controls, business and information technology security management processes and leveraging best practice and leading technologies. Using industry-standard ITSM tools, this role responds to internal and external security threats and unauthorized access intrusions to the infrastructure that are identified via IT staff and end-user incidents escalated from the Service desk for the Commonwealth s endpoint devices. Maintain up-to-date security baselines for the secure configuration and operation of security tools and endpoint devices in use within the organization. Review endpoint logs and reports, interpret the implications of activity and devise plans for appropriate resolution. Identifies gaps in information security controls, and provides security control recommendations to decision-makers to remediate deficiencies and improve the security posture of the organization. Collaborate with IT, security, human resources, and legal to ensure full legal compliance of company policies, procedures, forms, notices, and materials. Maintain an awareness of legislative changes or amendments to ensure ongoing and future compliance. Produce procedural/process documentation, and reviews/revises existing documentation periodically, and stored in file shares, intranet sites, and knowledge-based portals. Review, assess, and analyze security events and related logs produced by security information and event management systems to correlate and resolve complex issues. Serve as a member of the incident response team to identify, assess, respond to, and recover from incidents. Administers a variety of organizational access management tools/systems to implement physical and technical access controls appropriately based on the sensitivity of the facility/system/data and the role of the individual. Requirements Professional Endpoint Security experience in large-scale environments Required 2 years Experience with one or more industry-standard endpoint security tools from FireEye, McAfee, Norton, Trend Micro or equivalently mature vendor Required 2 years Experience being part of an Incident Response Team Require 1 year Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems - Required Professional oral and written communication skills Required Excellent soft skills such as empathy, listening, presenting, and negotiating Required - provided by Dice
