We are seeking a reliable and skilled Caretaker to join our client's dedicated team. This is a vital role within the school community, ensuring that buildings and grounds are maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

General maintenance and repair duties

Basic plumbing tasks (e.g., unblocking sinks, minor leaks, etc.)

Opening and closing, including occasional early mornings

Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times

Supporting with site security and general upkeep of facilities

Assisting with the setup of rooms and events as required

Requirements:

Proven experience in a similar caretaking or maintenance role

Basic knowledge of plumbing and general building maintenance

Ability to work independently and take initiative

Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach

Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required

Good communication and teamwork skills

Flexibility with working hours, including occasional early mornings

Desirable:

Previous experience working in a school or similar setting

Health and Safety or facilities management training

Enhanced DBS already in place (preferable)
