- Council Tax and Housing Benefits Customer Service Officer
- £19.50 per hour
- Mon to Fri, 36 hours per week
- Temporary Role
- Hybrid Working - 3 days in the office, 2 days at home (subject to change)
Key performance indicators - To achieve expected call taking volumes
- Complete enquires within call taking times.
- Average call wait times (Service and Department)
- Ensure accuracy in account and claim activity.
- Achieve targets for processing administrative tasks.
Purpose of role - To provide a comprehensive and in-depth telephone service for council tax and housing benefit/council tax support enquiries.
- To ensure that all contacts receive a good customer experience, in a professional, timely and courteous manner always.
- To explain both housing benefit/ council tax support entitlement to the customer to enable them to agree to the appropriate council tax payment arrangement.
- To accurately update/amend accounts/claims with regard to agreed procedures.
- To facilitate and promote the use of online services to Ealing residents e.g., Myaccount.
