Salary: £25 - £45/hour

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic and supportive team based in Liverpool. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse caseload, providing high-quality assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to individuals with a range of speech, language, communication, and/or swallowing needs.

You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, supporting junior staff and students, and contributing to the continued development of high-quality therapy services within the Trust or community setting.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Provide specialist assessment and intervention for individuals with complex communication and/or swallowing disorders.

*

Independently manage a defined caseload, prioritising clinical needs and service demands.

*

Develop and implement evidence-based care plans tailored to individual patient needs.

*

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including education, health, and social care professionals.

*

Contribute to service development initiatives and quality improvement projects.

*

Provide clinical supervision, support, and training to junior staff, students, and assistants.

*

Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with Trust policies and HCPC guidelines.

*

Participate in clinical audits and outcome measurement to support evidence-based practice.

Requirements:

Essential:

*

Recognised degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy

*

Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

*

Post-qualification experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist, ideally within the NHS

*

Strong clinical skills in assessment and intervention planning

*

Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills

*

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

*

Commitment to ongoing professional development

Desirable:

*

Experience working in [insert relevant area - e.g. community settings, acute care, paediatrics, neurology, adult services]

*

Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)

*

Training in dysphagia management (if applicable to the role)
