Beverages Analyst

Job Role Summary

The analyst position is responsible for the research, analysis, publication and client support tasks relating to a range of countries allocated to them across syndicated and project services. The primary goal of the analyst position is to deliver robust and credible data sets, including high quality analytical frameworks that deliver actionable insights.

Regarded as 'the country expert', the analyst will lead research quality initiatives, retain and expand research sources and ensure every publication is defendable.

This position is responsible for consolidating and synthesising all research inputs and publication outputs which requires strong coordination and communication across multiple teams in different office locations.

The analyst role will help to support and champion all marketing and public relations initiatives, including the regular publication of press releases and remaining active on social media.

Key Responsibilities

* Work alongside local researchers to deliver insightful industry interviews, as well as providing assessment on performance and overall quality of research inputs.

* Work alongside local store auditors to deliver a comprehensive and representative sample of consumer buying prices across a range of categories, sub-channels and price segments.

* The analyst is responsible for assessing the quality of research inputs from local researchers and store auditors

* Enhance all local research inputs through continuous desk research conducted throughout the year to help establish latest brand, packaging, channel and price positions

* Ensure every data publication is backed up through strict research verification processes and robust audit trails.

* Provide guidance and support to commercial teams in advance of, or during, client meetings which relate to all syndicated and project outputs. The analyst should act as a main point of contact for client queries pertaining to the allocated countries, ensuring commercial teams are kept abreast of developments and key issues

Key Skills

* Analysts have a varied role and requires high organisational and prioritising skills to ensure the data and report publication process runs efficiently and to SLA targets

* Own the relationship with research sources

* Observe beverage related trends in different markets as well as understanding wider external factors and influences as part of the information gathering process

* Excellent Microsoft skills (specifically Excel, PPT and Word)

* Ability to link ideas, concepts and themes together to understand the significance of information and information themes

* Analysts must be able to conduct objective analysis and evaluation across a wide range of issues and themes in order to form a judgement

* Analysts must have strong verbal communication skills which will enable them to confidently liaise with research sources, colleagues, commercial teams as well as clients
