Accounts Assistant / Accounts Senior 

Full Time / Part Time

Salary £35,000 - £50,000 depending on experience

My client is looking for a 5th member of staff to provide a wide range of accountancy, tax, and advisory services to owner-managed businesses, individuals, and trusts. The Accounts Senior will play a key role within the Accounts & Business Services team, supporting a varied portfolio of clients and contributing to the delivery of high-quality compliance and advisory services.[berkeleybate.co.uk]

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare annual financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, sole traders, and trusts.
• Assist with management accounts, VAT returns, and other business support activities.
• Act as a client point of contact, maintaining strong working relationships and addressing queries promptly.
• Work with managers and partners on more complex assignments, including advisory projects.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal quality processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve client processes or suggest value-adding services

Requirements

• ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Prior experience in general practice, including statutory accounts preparation and tax returns.
• Strong working knowledge of cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero)
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
• Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills.
