A leading technology manufacturer is seeking an experienced Supplier Quaility Engineer to join its growing team at a key UK site. Operating within a fast-paced, regulated environment, you will be supporting and driving quality assurance activities across the full product lifecycle — from new product introduction and supplier engagement to production release and service phase support.

This role plays a critical part in upholding high quality standards across complex electro-mechanical systems and assemblies. You'll be working cross-functionally to improve processes, respond to non-conformances, manage documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the quality function with day-to-day activities, audits, document control, and corrective action follow-up.

*

Assist with internal and external audit readiness, execution, and follow-up actions.

*

Maintain and improve the site Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring accurate and up-to-date inspection and test data.

*

Lead or support investigations into product or process non-conformances, implementing root cause analysis and effective corrective actions.

*

Assist in the development and approval of Quality Plans and inspection documentation throughout the product lifecycle.

*

Manage calibration schedules and systems for inspection equipment and tooling.

*

Lead or support quality-related elements of product verification, including goods-in inspection, final release checks, and compliance verification.

*

Monitor and report on quality performance metrics and KPIs.

*

Represent the quality function during design reviews, product changes, and new product introductions.

*

Oversee deviation handling, engineering change validation, and document sign-offs related to quality requirements.

*

Support supplier quality activities, including first article inspections and incoming goods checks.

*

Participate in or lead factory acceptance tests and internal product audits.

*

Maintain effective communication with engineering, operations, service teams, and external stakeholders.

Candidate Profile:

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

*

Experience working in a Quality Assurance role in an engineering, manufacturing, or technology-driven environment.

*

Understanding of ISO 9001 or equivalent quality systems and their application.

*

Familiarity with structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, RCA, or Six Sigma.

*

Hands-on experience with inspection and metrology tools; experience with CMM or portable arm systems

*

Strong documentation and quality records management experience.

*

Experience with calibration systems and product verification processes.

*

Comfortable interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and inspection criteria.

*

Prior involvement with engineering change control, deviation handling, or new product introductions.

Desirable Attributes:

*

Quality Auditor qualification or equivalent experience.

*

Working knowledge of ERP or MRP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or similar; D365 a bonus).

*

Self-starter with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

*

Able to work independently and collaboratively across departments.

*

Excellent communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal.
