Senior Adult Social Care Solicitor
Rate: £50-£60 per hour - Negotiable DOE
Contract Length: 3-6-month initial contract

A local authority based in the northwest region are seeking an experienced ASC Solicitor to join their Adult Social Care Legal Team. This is a senior position where you will provide expert legal advice and assistance across a broad range of adult social care matters. A key part of this role will also involve advising on strategic commissioning and joint adult services/CCG decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a small team of lawyers and support staff, while managing your own complex caseload.
- Provide high-quality legal advice on all aspects of the Council's activities.
- Undertake advocacy at all levels of courts and tribunals.
- Support strategic commissioning and joint decision-making between Adult Services and the CCG.
- Keep up to date with developments in local government and adult social care law.
Key Requirements
- A minimum of three years' post-qualification experience as a practising solicitor (or equivalent).
- Significant advocacy experience before all levels of court.
- Substantial knowledge of the law relating to adult social care.
- Ability to manage and prioritise workloads under pressure.
- Experience of advising local authorities (desirable).
