An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join our dedicated team in a 2-bed children’s home in Warrington. We are looking for a child-focused professional with a strong understanding of Ofsted regulations to support the Registered Manager in delivering outstanding care and outcomes for our young people.

This is a rewarding role where you will help shape a nurturing, safe, and supportive environment for children and young people, many of whom have experienced trauma or disruption in their lives.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
  • Lead and supervise a team of residential care staff
  • Ensure high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations
  • Promote a safe, stable, and therapeutic environment
  • Participate in the staff rota, including sleep-in duties and weekend shifts
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and professionals
  • Contribute to care planning and risk assessments

What We’re Looking For

Essential Qualifications & Training

  • NVQ Level 3 in Care of Children & Young People or Diploma in Social Care
  • Team Teach (or equivalent behaviour management training)

Experience & Knowledge

  • Experience working with children and young people in a social care setting
  • Understanding of young people’s needs and behaviours
  • Experience supervising staff and contributing to team development
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and risk management
  • Calm, reflective approach in challenging situations
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with professionals and families
  • Skills & Attributes
