SRG are delighted to be working with an industry leading biotechnology company based in Scotland's Central belt who specialise in converting low-cost by-products of the whisky industry into high-value chemical fuel sources, with a view to scaling this up to replace fossil fuels as a fuel source.

SRG's client are currently looking for a multi-skilled maintenance technician, who will play a vital part in the operations of their fermentation plant, this is a key position within the client's manufacturing team.

The role

Carry out planned equipment maintenance
Oversee equipment suppliers when carrying out inspections and servicing
Manage and maintain stores and spare parts (including relevant documentation)
Drive high standards within engineering and manufacturing
Train members of operations team
Occasional on-call support when necessary

Experience/Skills

Working knowledge of electrical systems up to 415V
Demonstrable experience fault finding and troubleshooting both electrically and mechanically
Practical hands-on experience of some of the following; Pumps, heat exchangers, valves, agitators, conveyors, pressure systems or distillation columns
Relevant demonstrable engineering experience, ideally in a similar industry
