Supporting independence and providing care We are creating a team of reliable and caring individuals to support a man in his late twenties with his daily life.
Getting a cohesive, friendly and supportive team is our aim.
Your approach and skills could make a huge difference to someone’s life.
We are using a Personal Health Budget to find individuals who can offer a professional standard of care, develop new skills and be a good companion, allowing for a real quality of life.
We have both full and part time roles but would prefer someone who could offer flexible working.
This wheelchair dependent man is a keen writer and in more ‘normal’ times enjoys going to the cinema and trips out.
Likes routine and has a good sense of humour.
What is a Personal Health Budget? It is a designated budget to allow an individual with care needs to employ people who best meet their needs.
It gives individuals the chance to find the support that best suits their requirements.
We have been successfully running a Personal Health Budget for seven years.
It has improved not only the quality of care received but also the quality of life experienced.
The role involves: Personal care Use of ceiling track hoist Use of respiratory equipment Giving medication Provide physiotherapy (under the instruction of a trained physio).
Wearing full PPE (during the present situation) Supporting daily life Some daily chores Essential requirements Full manual driving licence and willing to drive an adapted van Willingness to learn new skills and attend training Good written and verbal skills Reliable and trustworthy Caring nature Benefits weeks paid leave 3 weeks rota in advance Pension Free DBS Free training To ensure we find the best fit for this job we would like a covering letter, stating why this post would suit you and what you could offer to the role.
