A thriving, inclusive primary school in Southwark is seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing EYFS Class Teacher to join their Early Years team from September 2025. This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a child-centred, creative learning environment that places early development at the heart of its vision.

About the Role

As an EYFS Teacher, you will play a key role in creating a warm, engaging, and supportive setting where children feel secure, confident, and motivated to learn through play and exploration. You'll be supported by experienced colleagues and work within a well-resourced, well-organised team.

Key responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering rich, developmentally appropriate learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework

*

Fostering a safe, stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence

*

Observing, assessing, and recording progress to ensure every child is supported and challenged appropriately

*

Working closely with parents and carers to build positive home-school relationships

*

Collaborating with Early Years colleagues and school leaders to maintain consistently high standards across the phase

Person Specification

We are looking for a caring and committed individual who understands the importance of early education in laying the foundations for lifelong learning.

The ideal candidate will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with Early Years experience

*

A strong understanding of the EYFS framework, child development, and play-based learning

*

Excellent communication and behaviour management skills

*

A nurturing, inclusive approach that values every child as an individual

*

The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and families

*

A commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
