An inclusive and forward-thinking primary/secondary school in the London Borough of Southwark is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team from September 2025.

About the Role:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other staff to support pupils both inside and outside the classroom. This is an ideal opportunity for aspiring teachers who are considering a PGCE or teacher training programme in the near future.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils, including those with special educational needs (SEN)

*

Assist in planning, preparation, and assessment activities

*

Contribute to the creation of a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

*

Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development

A recent graduate (any discipline) with a strong academic background

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A proactive and flexible approach to working with children and staff

A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education

Previous experience working with children or in a school setting (desirable but not essential)
