Utilizes individual and group lesson plans according to the Milady curriculum incorporating exercises and activities to stimulate appropriate learning.
Participates with Program Director to provide appropriate learning opportunities for all students within a program.
Demonstrates a concern for student retention. Must create and devise a plan for students who are not satisfactorily progressing either in theory or the practical portion of their program.
Represents the integrity of TBCA and its' Program Director at conferences, seminars, and continuing education courses.
Conducts staff meeting and training sessions in absence of Program Director.
Identifies and recommends appropriate action for problem resolution.
Assists Program Director with file maintenance.
Assists in ensuring compliance with state licensing regulations regarding programs offered at TBCA.
Relays information and recommendations to Program Directors.
Identifies potential improvements and enhancements to program and recommends corresponding changes in procedure.
Gives feedback to Program Director regarding staff issues.
Must complete at least 8.0 hours of continuing education for Barbering and 12.0 hours of continuing education for Cosmetology and Manicuring.
Famaliarize oneself with updates and changes as it relays to school overviews offered by NIC. This may be accomplished via website review as.
Attendance of at least one Missouri Barber and Cosmetology Board Meeting per year grasping the understand for updates and changes to state laws and rule changes to effectively teach state law per our course curriculum.

Minimum Education: Highschool Diploma or it's Equvalency and an Instructor's License granted by the state of Missouri. May apply for reciprocity if Licensed by another state practicing reciprocity with Missouri.
Minimum Experience: Two years of classroom and practical floor instructional experience.
Minimum: May accept less experience with creditable references and suitable related work history.

Provide instruction in the theory and practice of cosmetology,barbering or manicuring which includes arranging, braiding, dressing, clipper cutting, cutting, trimming, curling, waving, chemical restructuring, shaping, singeing, bleaching, coloring or similar work on the hair of the head or cranial prosthesis of any person; manicuring, pedicuring, decorating nails, applying sculptured nails or artificial nails by hand or with mechanical or electrical apparatus or appliances; caring for the nails or the skin of the hands or feet including massaging the hands, arms, elbows, feet, lower legs, and knees of another person; epilation or depilation of any person; cleansing, massaging or toning the skin of the scalp; use of cosmetic preparations, body treatments, body wraps, hydrotherapy, antiseptics, tonics, lotions, creams or other preparations; massaging, cleansing, exfoliating, or stimulating the stratum corneum of the epidermis; applying make-up or eyelashes to any person; and lightening hair on the body and removing superfluous hair from the body of any person by the use of depilatories, waxing or tweezers.
