Salary: £2000 - £2500 / monthly

SEN Tutor Required in NG13 - Full Time November Start

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a tutor in the NG13 to teach KS2 to a LAC student with Attachment Disorder, PDA and Childhood Trauma. Due to their SEMH, the student is unable to attend school, and therefore the 1:1 tuition will occur in the care home. The student is working at below their age-expected level and requires additional emotional support.

About the Role:

  • 1:1 Tuition for a Year 4 LAC student with SEMH
  • 25 hours a week
  • In person, in the student's care home
  • Working materials and resources will need to be provided by the tutor
  • Focus on cross-curricular academic work, and providing additional emotional support

Who we are looking for:

  • People who are comfortable lone working and communicating with local authorities and care home staff
  • Previous experience working with LAC students and students with Attachment Disorder, PDA and Childhood Trauma
  • Tutors who can plan, produce, and teach cross-curricular lessons at KS2 level, as well as providing emotional support

Requirements:

  • Teachers with QTS
  • Previous experience teaching KS2
  • Experience of teaching and working with children with SEMH
  • Child workforce DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)
