The Home & Garden business unit of Spectrum Brands is based in St. Louis, Missouri with distribution, manufacturing and sales offices throughout the US and globe. Job Summary

Provide administrative support to the Home & Garden manufacturing plant, with a focus on supporting EHS, Quality, Chemical Batching and HR Departments.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with development of monthly KPI presentations
- Answer, assist, and transfer as necessary all incoming phone calls to and from facility switchboard
- Greet and assist all incoming visitors entering the facility. Assist employees with general inquiries.
- Continually update and distribute company phone list
- Assist in management of conference rooms and AV resources
- Provide general clerical support as required
- Enter production route data in SAP software from excel spreadsheets.
- Set up and coordinate on- and off-site meetings and conferences
- Create and modify documents using the Microsoft Office package and Adobe Acrobat.
- Coordinate various shipments and deliveries with vendors.
- Process purchase orders
- Provide administrative support to the EHS Department:
- Upload workers compensation claims and help coordinate workers compensation medical appointments for all workers as required
- Assist with distribution of safety equipment to employees and visitors (e.g. safety boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection)
- Update and maintain Environmental, Health and Safety forms upon request
- EHS data collection & entry
- Assist in scheduling and moderating EHS training, testing and programs (e.g. annual respirator fit testing, annual hearing tests, first aid/CPR certifications, safety shoes, prescription eyewear, and fire extinguisher training)
- Assist in organizing and maintaining files, including records archiving
- Provide administrative support to the Batching Department.
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department:
- Coordinate employee uniform ordering and distribution; includes ordering of company branded clothing for all employees
- Manage the communication boards and employee kiosks across the manufacturing site
- Assist with special event planning for employee celebrations
- Provide administrative support to the Quality Department.
- Process deliveries to and from Rider Trail and the Quality Lab
- Assist with departmental special projects
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Profile
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required, post-high school education in business discipline strongly preferred.
- At least three years of administrative support experience required.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Required Skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office experience with advanced proficiency in Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Proficient with Adobe Acrobat.
- Well organized, enthusiastic, disciplined, and self-motivated.
- Dependable
- Provide high volume phone coverage and handle multiple routine tasks.
- Ability to multi-task and handle high stress situations.

Work Environment
- Work conditions normal for an office environment.
- Some exposure to industrial environment.
