Area Manager - Development Management

Location: Brympton Way, Yeovil, Somerse, BA202HT

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 9+ Months

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £ 61.24 per hour

Responsibilities

Lead planning activities for the East and South areas of Somerset, providing strategic direction.

Attend planning committee meetings to represent the interests of the East and South areas.

Manage and resolve complaints related to planning activities within the designated areas.

Assist in the day-to-day operations of the planning service to ensure smooth functioning.

Work onsite two days per week, one day at the East Office (Mendip) and one day at the South Office (Yeovil).

Person Specification

Valid driving license and business car insurance required.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide strategic direction.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective committee participation and complaint resolution.

Proven experience in planning and development management.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
