We are looking for a registered manager for a Therapeutic Residential Children’s Home in in Cheadle Hulme. This is an exciting opportunity as a Registered Manager, you will be managing an existing established children’s home.
The Children’s Home works with children who have experienced trauma and display Emotional Behavioural Disorder (EBD). You will work with your team to provide a safe and nurturing home for the young people that you support; we provide compassionate, nurturing care for children who are in crisis and have complex needs, supporting them to move from a difficult past to a brighter future.
Safeguarding checks will be undertaken for the successful candidate in line with our safer recruitment policy, including an Enhanced DBS check (at no cost to yourself).
Location – Cheadle Hulme, Stockport
Hours - 37.5 hours per week
Salary - £48,022 per annum (£24.62ph rising to £30.78ph for weekends)
Sleep in Payment of £100.80 per sleep
On call payments of £40 – Monday to Friday, £80 for weekends and £120 for bank holidays

Main Responsibilities
As a Registered Manager you will manage a residential care team and have responsibility for a residential children’s home, ensuring a high-quality service within the home is developed and to perform within organisational policies and procedures, the National Minimum Standards and the legislative framework pertaining to children’s homes.
The Ideal Candidates
We are looking for Managers or Assistant Managers with a proven record for getting results from their staff team. We are looking for the following:
- Registered Manager’s Award (RMA Children) (combined management & care award).
- Significant residential childcare experience
- A sound understanding of Ofsted regulations and expectations.
- Ability to demonstrate effective leadership.
- Ability to achieve service delivery to national standards.
- Passion to develop further services for children/young people.
