A leading aerospace manufacturing organisation is seeking a Planning & Logistics Production Scheduler to support assembly operations within a complex, high-volume production environment. This role focuses on coordinating planning and logistics activities to ensure material availability, production continuity, and delivery performance, while contributing to ongoing process improvement initiatives.
You will play a key role within a cross-functional team supporting the assembly of advanced aircraft structures, ensuring planning and logistics processes scale in line with production demands and future growth.
Key Responsibilities:Support the delivery of all material and part requirements to meet production build schedules, cost, and delivery targets
Coordinate day-to-day planning and logistics activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and drive performance improvements
Anticipate and respond to production rate changes, managing associated risks and opportunities
Support operational areas in achieving cost and efficiency targets (e.g. labour hours per unit)
Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards across planning and logistics processes
Interface with procurement to monitor supplier performance and mitigate supply chain risks
Work closely with logistics providers to ensure process compliance and resolve any delivery or process failures
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and deployment of operational best practices
Skills & Experience Required:Advanced spreadsheet capability (data manipulation, macros, reporting)
Strong organisational and planning skills within a production or logistics environment
Structured, methodical, and results-driven approach to problem solving
Ability to operate with pace and adapt to changing production demands
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Team-oriented, flexible, and proactive mindset
Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) desirable
Background in manufacturing, engineering, or logistics environments preferred
