Are you a skilled and experienced mechanical fitter looking for your next challenge? Rubicon People Partnership's client are currently recruiting for a talented individual to join their team within the fitting department.

As a mechanical fitter you will be responsible for fitting and installing a wide range of machinery. You will work closely with the fabrication team to guarantee that all equipment is built to the highest standard, and will play a critical role in ensuring that the production processes run smoothly.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as a mechanical fitter will include:

Assembling various items from 'the ground up' using various hand and power tools
Fitting frames together as well as bears and seals
Aligning components within the framework
Occasional manual machining processes such as drilling and tapping
Working from engineering drawings
Conduct basic inspection of finished products
Assist with general maintenance and upkeep of the workshopBackground

The successful mechanical fitter will have:

Previous mechanical fitting experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Confidence using tools and machinery typically found within a workshop
Ability to work from engineering drawings and customer specifications
Strong understanding of engineering principles
Residence within sensible distance to our customers' site as relocations will not be considered
