Job Title: Material Planning Manager

Location: Wolverhampton

Pay Rates: £50,000 - £55,000 Per Annum

Shift Patterns: 37 hours per week

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Materials Planning and Logistics Manager to join one of our valued customers in Wolverhampton. This role will be responsible for overseeing the planning, procurement, storage, control and distribution of materials and products to meet company objectives and customer requirements.

We are looking for someone within the Pressings / Manufacturing industry for this role due to businesses needs and requirements.

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain material requirement planning systems to meet production requirements.
Forecast demand to determine both short and long-term material needs.
Create press shop and assembly production plans based on customer schedules.
Monitor inventory levels and adjust based on demand and supply changes.
Oversee warehousing operations, ensuring efficient storage and fast retrieval of materials.
Manage transportation of materials to and from locations, ensuring timely deliveries while minimizing costs.
Promote continuous learning and professional development within the team.
Implement lean methodologies to optimise supply chain processes.
Drive projects to enhance operational efficiencies and reduce costs.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on material and logistics performanceQualifications/ experience:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, or a related field.
5 years of experience in material planning, logistics, or a related field, with 3 years in a managerial position.
Introducing WMS.
Strong knowledge of MRP/SAP or relevant systems and software.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory guidelines and standards in logistics and transportationBenefits and Working hours:
