Teaching Personnel is proud to be working on behalf of one of our valued partner secondary schools in Burnley to recruit a Teacher of History for a full-time, permanent role commencing in September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join a forward-thinking, inclusive, and ambitious school community. The department welcomes teachers from all historical specialisms who are eager to inspire and engage learners across key stages.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging History lessons that stretch and challenge students of all abilities
Contribute to a culture of high expectations and academic success
Work collaboratively with a dedicated Humanities team to support curriculum development and innovation
Participate in ongoing professional learning and whole-school improvement
Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all students
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant subject
A passion for History and a talent for communicating it to young people
Strong classroom management and the ability to foster a culture of learning
Commitment to inclusion, diversity, and the success of every student
Willingness to engage fully in school life and development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
