In this role, you'll help the owners fulfill their plan and vision! This vision will involve building sales teams that will operate in specific engineering verticals. Working as a Business Development Manager, you'll help to build the value proposition, handle inbound enquiries, attend events, set up webinars, consult with organisations that may not have the engineering skills in house and are looking to hire in the expertise externally. Your role will involve having conversations / meetings and holding workshops to discuss ideas around up and coming engineering projects. All of these will be with external customers operating in either Nuclear, Pharma or Chemical engineering.
You'll qualify the need, discuss the team's experience and capabilities, set up presentations and pre-sales activities, prepare bids and tenders, gain customer feedback, work through the commercials and close the deal. You'll also manage the account, ensuring that the customer is happy with the service.You will also be heavily involved with the development of marketing collateral, content and materials that will underpin the business development activities. This role is diverse, exciting, challenging and really interesting. No two days, clients or projects will ever be the same!
The ideal candidate will be an engineering graduate with at least 5 years experience of working within the engineering sector, ideally within a client facing, consulting or business development role with engineering. You'll be used to talking about complex concepts, services and initiatives and feel comfortable talking to senior leaders within engineering companies. This may include at a research and development level. We're not looking for you to provide the answers, more understand the questions and make introductions to Engineering Consultants that will be able to solve complex engineering problems and provide solutions.

Position comes with excellent basic salary to £60,000 + Bonus which is upto 20% + health and pension. They have sites in both Bristol and Derby but this role can be 100% remote, although they do like to get the team together from time to time.
