Are you an experienced Merchandiser looking to work for a leading organisation that is going through an exciting period of growth?
Our Client is a leading importer, supplying major retailers in the UK and due to their ever-expanding growth they now have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Merchandiser to join their team.
They are looking for someone with experience in trend and forecast analysis within a retail or wholesale environment. You will have the ability to interpret information & make decisions to maximise service levels and stock efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for meeting required service levels for given range
- Responsible for forecasting and sales analysis for given range
- Analyse weekly/monthly/yearly sales to identify trends
- Manage stock to maximise availability, whilst reducing markdown exposure
- Raise any supply/service issues in good time to management
- Collate and manage potential discontinued products
- Support range planning in conjunction with category teams
- Plan initial buys for new lines
- Raise factory purchase orders
- Work with factories to ensure products ship within agreed timelines
- Approve bookings for shipments
- Liaise with internal teams incl Category Teams, Shipping, Operations, Finance
- Work closely with the Customer and attend Customer meetings as required
- Assist in development and growth of business
The successful candidate will need to have previous experience working as a Merchandiser - preferably within retailer/importer environment with knowledge of forecasting and report writing. You will have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office & Excel as well as solid communication & articulation skills and have the ability to multi task.
