Responsibilities

* Hours: 6:00pm - 2:30/3:00am (40 hours per week, including 30-minute break)

* Plan and optimise vehicle routes across local and UK-wide operations using traffic management systems (full training provided)

* Coordinate a fleet of approximately 45 vehicles during daytime operations, ensuring efficient collections and deliveries

* Manage night trunking activities, overseeing 5-6 vehicles travelling to locations including Aberdeen and across England

* Provide real-time support to drivers, resolving operational challenges such as breakdowns, delays, or tyre issues

* Monitor schedules, adjust routes as needed, and maintain high service levels

* Communicate effectively with drivers and internal teams to ensure smooth transport operations

Requirements

* Previous transport planner experience (essential)

* Experience within a similar logistics or transport environment (desirable)

* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

* Ability to work independently during night shifts

* Positive, can-do attitude with a proactive approach

* Confident communication skills and ability to manage driver relationships

* Willingness to complete a two-week training period, including day and night shifts
