Synchro is excited to partner with a UK award-winning IT and Communications specialist in their hunt for an Infrastructure/ 3rd Line Engineer to join their technology team due to their remarkable growth and success. Our client provides a wide range of bespoke solutions to a variety of businesses across the UK and globally. Responsibilities:

Providing technical support for incidents and service requests escalated from the 1st and 2nd line support teams, with a focus on resolving complex and high-priority issues.
Working closely with clients to troubleshoot issues and identify root causes, providing guidance and expertise to resolve problems.
Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including technical diagrams, procedures, and knowledge articles.
Participating in project work, including the design, implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure and systems including servers, storage, networking and security.
Assisting with technical escalation management and providing guidance and support to junior members of the support team.
Keeping up-to-date with new and emerging technologies, and sharing knowledge and best practices with the wider team.
Collaborating with IT teams to identify, recommend, and implement improvements to IT infrastructure.
Ensuring compliance with security and data protection policies, including patching and the maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Participating in the on-call rotation for after-hours support.Skills and Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in a 3rd line support role, preferably within an MSP environment.
Strong technical knowledge of/or: Microsoft Server, Citrix, Nutanix, Office 365, Azure, Active Directory, Exchange, Virtualisation (VMware or Hyper-V), SANs, Backup & Recovery, Networking (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLANS, Routing, Unifi), Firewalls and Security.
Scripting (PowerShell, Batch etc.)
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve complex technical issues.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with ticket management systems and IT service management (ITSM) processes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
Relevant technical certifications, such as MCSA/MCSE, CCNA/CCNP or VCP, are highly desirable.ROLE: Infrastructure Engineer/Specialist

LOCATION: Hybrid - ideally 3 days in the office but flexible. We are looking for individuals who are commutable to either Stratford Upon Avon or Surrey.

SALARY: Up to £50,000. There may be slight flex for the right candidate.
