Essex (UK & Ireland travel)
£40,000-£45,000 + overtime + benefits + full training

Are you a hands-on Engineer who loves getting stuck into machinery, travelling, solving problems, and keeping production lines running?
If so, this is a brilliant opportunity to join a long-established, respected engineering business supplying specialist labelling systems and checkweighing machinery to manufacturers across the UK & Ireland.

With 30+ years' expertise and exclusive partnerships with leading European OEMs, we're a trusted technical partner to multinational brands and growing SMEs alike. Now, due to ongoing demand, we're looking for another skilled Field Service Engineer to join the team.

The Role

Working across customer sites UK-wide, you'll provide full technical support on a range of machinery—including installation, commissioning, servicing, repairs and breakdown response.

You'll enjoy a varied, hands-on role involving:

Mechanical strip-downs, rebuilds and assembly work

*

Fault-finding and repairs on electrical systems

*

Basic PLC work (diagnostics, adjustments, I/O checks)

*

Wiring, testing and checking control panels & looms

*

Supporting customers on-site, delivering clear, confident technical advice

*

Ensuring machinery performance, uptime and accuracy on labelling/checkweighing systems

Every day is different and you'll be out meeting customers, solving problems and keeping lines running.

What We're Looking For

*

2+ years' experience in a Field Service or Technical Engineer role

*

Background with labelling systems, packaging machinery, automation, or similar industrial kit

*

Strong electrical skills - wiring, fault-finding, schematics, basic PLC knowledge

*

Good mechanical ability - tools, strip-downs, fitting, cutting/grinding, assembly

*

Ability to prioritise, plan routes, and work independently out in the field

*

Confident communicator with great customer service skills

*

Full UK driving licence

*

Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/apprenticeship) is beneficial but not essential

*

Welding experience is a bonus but not required
