Right Now Group are working with an International Freight Forwarder based in Ashford, Surrey who are looking to expand their Ocean department. They are looking to bring aboard a new Sea Freight Import Operator to assist with their Operations Team.

The ideal candidate will have coordinated Sea Freight shipments for a Forwarder in the past, and ideally have experience dealing with consignments from Start-to-Finish.

Responsibilities of a Sea Freight Import Operator:

• Book in freight with approved lines & carriers.
• Develop relationships, ensuring a high level of customer service to clients
• Take requests and queries and resolve them quickly.
• Liaise with overseas agents and clients clearly, precisely and accurately and resolve issues and complaints in a timely manner.
• Ensure documentation is correct
• Process invoices.
• Ensure that the sales department are aware of client activities and business finances
• Ensure that the departmental manager is aware of the status of all shipments.

Requirements of a Sea Freight Import Operator:

• A minimum of 2 years experience working in Freight Forwarding, in an Operations focused position
• A positive working attitude
• A drive to succeed and improve in a fast-paced environment
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Great written communication skills

What's on offer - Sea Freight Import Operator:

Salary: £30,000 - £38,000
Shift: Monday - Friday
Hours: 09:00 - 17:30
Annual Leave: 23 Days + Bank Holidays
