We are currently recruiting for an Ocean Clerk on behalf of our client based in Staines.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience in freight forwarding, particularly in ocean freight. Having exposure to both imports and exports is a strong advantage.

You will be responsible for managing shipments from start to finish, so experience in handling customs entries is highly desirable.

Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 (dependent on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinating ocean freight shipments (imports/exports)
• Managing jobs from start to finish
• Preparing and submitting customs entries
• Liaising with clients, carriers, and internal teams
• Ensuring accurate documentation and timely communication

Requirements:

• Previous experience in ocean freight (imports and/or exports)
• Knowledge of customs clearance procedures preferred
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
