The OpportunityA leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior/Principal Engineer to support high-profile projects requiring advanced mechanical design and delivery expertise. This is a contract role offering the chance to work on technically challenging assignments within a collaborative and structured environment.
As part of a team conducting PSR (Periodic Safety Reviews) and DARs (Design Assessment Reports) on nationally important defence projects.

This role would suit candidates working in these roles: Principal Mechanical Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, Lead Project Engineer, Engineering Manager, Technical Lead, Mechanical Systems Engineer, Project Delivery Engineer.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Lead the preparation and delivery of PSRs and DARs in line with regulatory expectations.
Coordinate technical teams to ensure timely and accurate safety documentation
Review and validate engineering designs against safety and operational requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather input and assess risks and propose mitigations to the risks.You will have the following qualifications and experience
Proven experience in producing or leading PSRs, DARs, or similar safety documentation
Strong leadership and organisational skills in a project-based engineering environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and technical documentation tools
Eligibility for SC clearance is essential
