Queens Medical Associates are seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Specialist responsible for payment reconciliation from patients and insurance carriers, enrolling physicians into Managed Care, Commercial and Government Insurance carriers, providing payers with provider/practice information, processing applications and performing self-audits to prevent lapses in coverages.
In addition, the job incumbent will be the primary source for entering inpatient charges, insurance billing verification. Also, the job incumbent will provide supportive coverage for eligibility and insurance follow up, reimbursement analysis or other related accounts receivable collection functions in the revenue cycle. A successful candidate must have the skillset to accurately review variance reports and post manual/electronic deposits in a timely fashion.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To qualify, you must have a high school diploma or equivalency. An Associate’s Degree in Healthcare Administration is preferred. Ideal candidates will have the following skills:
- 1 - 3 years of credentialing experience in healthcare
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Superb planning and organizational skills
- Demonstrate passion for reaching best outcomes and results. In addition, the incumbent should demonstrate an ability to effectively interact with physicians, insurance companies with professionalism.
- Computer proficiency (including Microsoft Suite) and practice management systems.
The successful candidate will also possess knowledge of medical billing/collection practices. A working knowledge of the Centricity system is a plus. To protect health data, candidates must always adhere to policies concerning confidentiality of patient records.
