The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic and engaging lessons in line with the Year 1 National Curriculum, focusing on academic development and social skills.

Use a variety of assessment techniques to track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their ongoing development.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to achieve their best.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and school leaders to ensure a consistent and high-quality approach to teaching and learning.

Build strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress and well-being.

Contribute to the wider life of the school by participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.

Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum, with experience in delivering creative and engaging lessons.

*

Proven ability to assess and track student progress, tailoring teaching to meet the diverse needs of the class.

*

Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a focused and positive learning environment.

*

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

A passion for teaching, a commitment to ongoing professional development, and a dedication to student success.
