We are in search of a dedicated CNC Setter/Operator to join our Engineering & Manufacturing department, focusing on delivering high-quality industrial and manufacturing solutions within our Birmingham base.

Description

Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
Report any issues or malfunctions to the Engineering & Manufacturing department.
Keep records of operations, maintenance and relevant data in logbooks.Profile

A successful CNC Setter/Operator should have:

Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and tooling.
Experience and knowledge of working in a similar role within a precision engineering/manufacturing environment is desirable.
Experience and knowledge of setting and operating CNC Machinery
Experience in 5 axis machining / Mill turns.
MAZAK machining experience (preferred but not essential)
Use of Mazatrol
Use of FANUC controls
Experience of one-off production
Tooling measurement experienceJob Offer

A competitive salary ranging from £32,000 to £38,000 ( + 16.6% shift allowance)
Rotating day shift pattern (Week 1 6am - 1pm) (Week 2 1pm - 9pm)
