We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to join a well-established community mental health team in Nottingham. This is a long-term locum opportunity offering stability, flexibility, and the chance to make a real difference in the lives of service users with a range of mental health conditions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, person-centred care as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting individuals in their own homes and community settings. Key Responsibilities:
Undertake comprehensive mental health assessments and formulate care plans.
Provide clinical interventions to adults with complex mental health needs.
Carry out risk assessments and implement appropriate risk management strategies.
Monitor mental health status, medication compliance, and treatment outcomes.
Liaise with GPs, social care, inpatient units, and families/carers as part of the care coordination role.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.Requirements:
NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
Previous experience as a Band 6 CPN or equivalent within community mental health.
Strong assessment, care planning, and risk management skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Up-to-date knowledge of mental health legislation and safeguarding practices.Benefits:
