Reception Teacher

Are you a creative and compassionate Early Years specialist looking for a fulfilling role in a supportive school environment? We're seeking an enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join a well-established primary school in Barnet from September 2025, covering maternity leave for one of our dedicated team members.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a trauma-informed, well-resourced, two-form entry school with a strong focus on child development and teacher wellbeing. With 450 pupils and a diverse intake including 22% with special educational needs, the school fosters inclusivity and promotes independence from the very start of a child's learning journey.

What Makes This School Special:

• Supportive Leadership: A headteacher with over 10 years of experience and a strong focus on staff wellbeing and professional development.
• Workload Balance: Reduced marking expectations, a verbal feedback approach, and streamlined planning using established schemes and shared resources.
• Staff Wellbeing: An annual wellbeing day and a collaborative working culture.
• Dedicated Support: Each EYFS class is supported by a general TA, allowing you to focus on delivering engaging and child-centred lessons.
• Training and CPD: Weekly training sessions, access to Barnet BPSI, and opportunities to engage in trauma-informed and cognitive load strategy training.
• Collaborative Planning: Work alongside your EYFS team and benefit from the experience and support of your parallel teacher.

This role is ideal for a Reception Teacher who thrives in a team-oriented environment, values emotional development as much as academic progress, and is ready to make a real difference during this important early stage of learning.

We look forward to welcoming a warm and dedicated teacher to our Early Years team.
