We are now looking for a talented and motivated Accounts Assistant to support the Accounts team, in a busy, fast-paced environment.

This vacancy is a full-time, permanent position, which consists of 37.5 hours per week.

Job purpose: To assist in the day to day running of the Accounts department, to help maintain an efficient and accurate finance function within the business.

Duties include:

* Accounts email monitoring

* Weekly BACS preparation - allocation of payments in Sage/upload payments to bank & send remittances

* Produce weekly supplier self-bills

* Daily purchase ledger - uploading to Lightyear, sending out for authorisation & importing to Sage

* Bank reconciliations - across x4 companies

* Credit card - Precision Pay & commercials card (using Xero)

* POA report - ensuring all credit balances are matched off - month end

* Supplier statement reconciliations - weekly/monthly & ensuring a full ledger reconciliation quarterly

* Occasional invoicing

* Petty cash - recording/posted to Sage

* Call handling

* Franking post

* Daily bank posting/post cheques for week (ensure all items on month end bank rec are posted)

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Preferably working towards AAT (study support provided)

* At least 1 years' experience in a similar role

* Strong knowledge of SAGE is essential

* Advanced IT skills, including Word and Excel

* Strong customer service skills

* Good teamwork skills, professionalism and positive attitude
