Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant – Wigan (September Start)

A welcoming primary school in Wigan is looking to appoint a committed Teaching Assistant to support pupils within Key Stage 1 from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid classroom experience who is confident working with children with SEND and can provide both academic and pastoral support.

The role will involve:

• Supporting teaching and learning across KS1
• Working closely with pupils with additional needs, adapting support where required
• Assisting the class teacher with planning and classroom organisation
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has prior experience working in a school setting
• Has supported children with SEND (professionally or through strong relevant experience)
• Is patient, proactive and able to build strong relationships with pupils
• Can work effectively as part of a team
