Quantity Surveyor
Porton, Wiltshire
We are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join a MoD projects team. This role will see you work on a variety of projects ranging in value up to £10m across both Construction and Facilities Management.
Projects will vary and range from £250k up to £10m, encompassing small refurbishments and alterations through to new build projects. Working in a sizable commercial team you will have several sites to financially oversee.
As a Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for helping to estimate costs, quantities and project timelines and providing business support to the Projects Team regarding project costs and risks.
This will include procuring sub-contractors, valuations, cost reporting and providing cost advise and support to the Billable Works Team.
To be considered:
* Experience in a similar role either within construction / or Commercial Property Maintenance
* HND/Foundation Degree level qualification in a construction related subject.
* Experience of developing cost models, risk analysis and management, preparation of proposals and tenders and dispute resolution.
* Good IT skills are a must, in particular Excel.
* Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills are essential, as well as the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels
