The role of the Production Planning Coordinator:

* Manage and lead the production planning team

* Develop and communicate detailed production plans

* Start & end of day reviews with Production Manager and Supervisors

* Assist with team scheduling and resource allocation

* Schedule equipment servicing to avoid downtime

* Analyse production data to improve efficiency

* Provide performance metrics and participate in daily and monthly reviews

* Work with the Quality team to monitor and improve yields and reject rates

* Drive and support continuous improvement and lean initiatives

* Engage stakeholders to facilitate effective change management

* Ensure smooth implementation of changes across departments

* Promote professional working practices and high standards of service

The person for the Production Planning Coordinator:

* Strong knowledge of cellular manufacturing and operations processes

* Familiar with stores and purchasing systems

* Effective communicator, both verbal and written

* Experienced in leading or mentoring teams

* Self-motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively

* Understanding of customer requirements and quality standards

* Holds MRP or ERP qualifications

* Flexible, assertive, and supportive with a professional approach

* Relevant leadership or management qualifications
