VP Business Development - Loan Servicing

Company Overview: Launch Servicing (Launch), formed in 2018, is a Loan Servicing platform that works with some of the largest and most prestigious lenders in the world. The company was created to help simplify the servicing process for student borrowers and is dedicated to building personal relationships so that borrowers can feel confident in the loan repayment process. Our goal is simple- provide an exceptional experience by executing the Launch Servicing experience; from loan origination through life of loan servicing on behalf of our clients. Turnstile Capital Management (TCM) provides services to its affiliates and third parties in connection with the management and collection of assets and receivables. TCM is also a buyer and holder of consumer loan accounts including non-performing consumer loans. TCM manages collections of the loans indirectly through third party collection agencies. TCM has approximately $7 billion in assets under management. Both Launch and TCM are part of the Goal Solutions family of companies. #removed# #removed# Job Description: A successful sales team makes connections with current and prospective customers to maintain and create long-lasting relationships. Our VP of Business Development will be responsible for building the Sales team and for ensuring that team achieves the objectives of customer centric relationships as well as growth among existing and new clients in the consumer finance marketplace. The VP of Business Development will also be responsible for setting individual Sales Rep goals and establishing a regular tracking and reporting system to ensure there is transparency to results. The VP of Business Development will build and manage a team of 3-4 Sales Reps, sales support and client relationship professionals. A successful leader will be an experienced financial services and self-starting professional with managerial experience and a proven track record in sales. The leader of the sale team will be able to identify sales skills as a new team is recruited, present strategic initiatives to executive leadership and provide concise tactical direction to the sales team. Some travel will be required for this role. The VP of Business Development will also partner with executive management in identifying, assessing and recommending additional asset classes and services for expansion into. Responsibilities: Recruit and retain sales team members that include sales, client management and support Motivate and energize the team to be proactive with all their communications with clients Cultivate lasting client relationships by working with customers to understand their business needs and the solutions offered by Goal Create sales tactics that include marketing and conference outreach to achieve monthly and quarterly sales goals Communicate effectively with C-level executives to keep all executive members apprised of the progress to objectives Establish sales objectives and prepare appropriate sales reports and cooperate with data analytics to identify appropriate sales tactics Assess the competitive landscape and institute appropriate changes to the sales tactics in response to marketplace conditions or competitors’ service offerings Implement a sales training program to educate new hires Work to identify opportunities for product and asset class expansion Develop effective relationships and communications with various areas of the company in support of sales process Representing and communicating the mission and values of the Company Acting as a total team player. Performing ad-hoc assignments, duties and contributing to special projects as assigned. Education & Other Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree; MBA is a plus In-depth knowledge of consumer finance services marketplace (education finance industry or solar, a plus); understanding of loan servicing operations is a plus 7 years’ experience in sales management 10 years’ experience in direct sales Strong prospecting and negotiating skills and excellent closing skills Knowledgeable of SalesForce Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to problem solve. Effective written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented and adaptable to change. Must be a team-oriented person Must be able to travel 25-60% of time. Maintains confidentiality of all company information and uses discretion in discussing internal and external contacts.
