We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Learning to lead a high performing, efficient learning area, ensuring high student success and high levels of staff and customer satisfaction.
You will be based at our new Haywards Heath campus , which opens in September 2020 .
The College will deliver a range of A Levels, Advanced General courses and apprenticeships at our fantastic site, close to the town centre.
The role is a full time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £38,131 - £46,908 per annum as well as fantastic benefits.
The Chichester College Group is the largest provider of further education in Sussex and is comprised of 4 Colleges: one at Chichester, one at Crawley, one at Worthing and one at Brinsbury near Pulborough, which is land-based.

In return for joining us as our Head of Learning, we will offer you: - Competitive Pension Scheme - Generous annual leave package - Discounted private medical care - Subsidised local gym membership - Other high street discounts plus more Key responsibilities of our Head of Learning: - Lead and manage staff, finances, management information and resources within the curriculum area, in accordance with College core values, policies, procedures and regulations - Manage day-to-day operations of the curriculum area, raising the quality of the learning experience of students and their levels of satisfaction - Research and develop the curriculum offer to meet the developing needs of students, employers and the local community - Participate in the College Student referral system to help students achieve to the best of their ability - Promote and enable the expectations of the highest standards of teaching, learning and assessment within the curriculum area, ensuring that all students develop knowledge, understanding, skills and abilities within a secure, challenging and stimulating educational environment - Work with Deputy Heads of Learning, Professional Learning Coaches (teaching and learning and ILT), study programme/course leaders and course teams - Improve the quality of delivery in accordance with College policies, quality assurance systems and ensure all evaluation and verification documentation are appropriately maintained - Generate income for the College via commercial course offers - Lead and support the area through any change initiatives - Communicate effectively with all staff across the College and with external stakeholders Our ideal Head of Learning should have the below skills and experience: - A Certificate in Education or Post Graduate Certificate in Education, or equivalent - A level 3 qualification relevant to the area of teaching expertise - Coaching/Mentoring qualification, or willingness to work towards - Experience of further Education curriculum delivery planning and administration - A proven record of promoting teaching, learning and assessment to a consistently high standard - Relevant industrial experience within an area of subject specialism - Up to date knowledge of curriculum and teaching and learning, proven through continuing professional development - An understanding of contemporary educational issues that impact student engagement with education and their learning - Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines - High degree of personal presentation and customer care skills - Flexible in approach - Innovative and creative in meeting the needs of learners, customers and staff If you would like to learn more about our Head of Learning role then please click ‘ Apply’ today!
