The Contract Data Controller (CDC) role is critical to ensure that all customer master data is managed and maintained within OCS. The CDC is responsible for the creation, update, and audit of all data objects in the OCS core systems and the governance of data in any systems used to manage contract data.

You will need to take ownership of all master data issues and proactively communicate with internal customers and stakeholders to make sure that all data is updated and maintained correctly. There is a requirement to work closely within the business with Account Managers, Finance business partners and operations to ensure that contracts are structured correctly, contract changes are updated accurately, and all billing takes place.

This role is also critical to the resolution of contract billing disputes and to ensure that all billing data is correct to ensure OCS get paid quickly and without any delays.

This role is being offered on a fixed term contract for 1 year

Our team are currently working 3 days a week in our office at Trafford Bank House and 2 days a week from home

Responsibilities will include:

Create and maintain contracts to ensure that all master data is accurate, so work is billed correctly.

Manage WBS creation and maintenance, liaising with relevant business stakeholders.

Manage materials and pricing within all core systems.

Manage and maintain customer PO on contracts.

Consistent contract management - including creation, change, termination, and billing.

Creation of sales order including credit and cancellation approval.

Support and manage project work with the CDC and Billing function.

Manage billing disputes and ensure a speedy resolution to result in payment.

Proactively build excellent relationships within the business to strengthen awareness and improve knowledge transfer to ensure accurate data provision.

Continuous improvement of all business processes to drive system development.

To answer all incoming calls from internal and external customers.

Maintain pay rates, shift patterns, and pay levels on Timegate system.

Experience required:


Must have a good standard of education to at least Level 2 (eg, GCSE A*-C) to including English and Maths OR demonstrate equivalent skills and ability.

Working experience/Personal attributes

Previous master data maintenance experience

Contract management experience using mainstream ERP systems (SAP, Timegate)

MS Excel Skills

Call handling and the confidence to verbally communicate with external and internal customers

Administrating in a customer focused environment would be desirable

The ability to accurately check own work to achieve accurate, consistent, and effective work performance under pressure, implementing best practice wherever possible.

A detailed and structured approach to work with the ability to prioritise tasks consistently.

Must be able to converse confidently with colleagues (i.e., speaking clearly, listening, comprehending, and interpreting).

Must be able to appraise situations quickly and react accordingly, considering fluctuation of workloads and deadlines.

Ability to problem solve in an innovative and flexible manner.

Should have good organisational skills and be able to adapt to changing circumstances promptly
