Candidate
* Proficient use of SSEN industry standard electrical design.
* Experience in use of CAD software is preferable
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards it.
* Proven experience in the design DNO energy related electrical systems.
* Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
* Having a clear understanding of DNO's HV & LV networks.
* Lead the design and engineering projects from feasibility to commissioning phases.
* Develop and manage electrical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and oversee the work of jointing engineers.
* Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
* Ensure quality assurance, risk management, and adherence to safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Knowledge In:
* Primary Substations - Construction, installation, and commissioning
* Switchgear, Transformers & Plant - Installation and commissioning
* Cable Installation & Connections - HV/LV multi-core & power cables, laying, pulling, jointing, and terminating
* Excellent ability to communicate orally and in writing at all levels in the organisation
* Able to work under pressure and make important decisions
* Electrical engineering experience is essential
