The Client:
A leading main contractor working within the commercial, education, leisure, public and healthcare sectors and a stalwart of the local construction industry over the last 40 years, this forward-thinking and ambitious contractor have a reputation for delivering complex new build, fit-out and refurbishment projects to the highest of standards.

The Role:

As Contracts Manager, you'll join an established team and be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple construction projects ranging from £500k to £5m in value across East Anglia and London, taking works from project award through to handover, working closely with an exciting variety of clients with full autonomy to deliver works from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

* Overseeing and managing all aspects of the construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to a high-quality standard.

* Managing and coordinating sub-contractors, suppliers and materials, ensuring compliance with contracts and specifications.

* Managing all contractual aspects of the construction projects, including variations, claims, and disputes.

* Managing client expectations and maintaining regular communication to ensure satisfaction and retention.

* Ensuring compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

* A relevant Construction related Degree or equivalent Higher Education course, ideally Construction Management or NVQ Level 6 / 7.

* Previous experience within the industry in a main contracting environment is critical, ideally 5+ years in a similar capacity. Relevant project experience is desirable.

* Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

* Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality work.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.

* You'll ideally be situated near to the Colchester area and be happy to travel to relevant projects as required.
