Jackson Hogg is recruiting a Depot Manager to take full ownership of depot operations, customer delivery performance, and team leadership. This role plays a key part in ensuring Operational Excellence, profitability, and outstanding customer satisfaction across all deliveries, installations and services.

The Role & Responsibilities

As Depot Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the depot team and ensuring the smooth, compliant and profitable running of the operation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning end-to-end depot performance, ensuring consistently high standards across deliveries, installations and customer service.
  • Leading, motivating and developing the depot team to deliver Operational Excellence and exceed service level expectations.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders, building strong relationships and continuously improving customer satisfaction.
  • Ensuring all products, services and installations are delivered and signed off in line with company processes, safety standards and quality expectations.
  • Full responsibility for depot P&L performance, controlling costs within budget and ensuring profitable execution of deliveries and services.
  • Overseeing asset, equipment and stock control, including accurate inventory management and completion of depot stock takes in line with company procedures.
  • Managing all transport and fleet activity, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and company operating licence standards.
  • Maintaining depot standards across facilities, security, maintenance and health & safety, with regular inspections and swift resolution of any issues.
  • Driving a positive, inclusive and motivated working environment, promoting wellbeing initiatives and supporting team development.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience managing a depot or branch operation, with a strong focus on operational excellence and KPI performance.
  • A confident people leader with a track record of improving performance, engagement and standards.
  • Strong understanding of customer service principles within an operational environment.
  • Experience within the equipment rental market is desirable, but not essential.
  • Full, clean driving licence, with flexibility to travel to customer sites and other depots when required.
