Position: Lead Project Engineer

Location: London

Salary: Up to £55,000

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Lead Project Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Lead Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the installation process of cutting-edge projects in the audio-visual and system integration field. Key Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end project management process, ensuring projects are executed seamlessly and on schedule.
Mentor and manage a team of AV engineers, driving excellence and ensuring project success without the need for repeated site visits.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members to create essential project documents and drawings on time.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while upholding our company's quality standards and enhancing profit margins.

Key Duties:

Thoroughly review project documents before formal handover, establishing a solid foundation for successful project execution.
Assume full responsibility for project outcomes post-handover, demonstrating your leadership and project management skills.
Create installation Gantt charts and provide periodic updates to both clients and our internal team.
Generate comprehensive project reports, keeping all stakeholders well-informed. * Skillfully manage change orders throughout the project lifecycle.
Supervise the day-to-day workloads of AV engineers, fostering their growth and maintaining high installation standards.
Conduct site surveys as needed.
Ensure the accuracy and timely issuance of project drawings.
Act as the primary client point of contact post pre-con handover.
Oversee project testing and client signoff procedures.
Ensure that project completion photos and IAuditor documentation are in place before project closure.
Supervise and enforce local health and safety regulations.
Ensure that as-built drawings and operation and maintenance manuals are accurate and provided promptly.
Coordinate and manage specialist contractors.

Secondary Duties:

Maintain cleanliness and report any damage to company vehicles.
Execute Smartcare tasks within specified service level agreement timescales when required.
Ensure proper loading and protection of equipment in AV engineer's vehicles.
Coordinate with warehouse staff for material logistics.
Serve as the on-call Smartcare duty engineer on a rotation basis.
Keep the fault logger up to date.
Provide hands-on assistance in the installation process when necessary or for high-profile clients as directed

Up-to-date knowledge in Audio Visual and System Integration.
Project management experience, including expertise in creating Gantt charts.
CITB - Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme certification.
AVIXA - CTS certification.
Polycom certification.
