Job Title: Asbestos & Health and Safety Manager

Rate: £36 per hour (Umbrella)

About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Asbestos & Health and Safety Manager to join our team in North West London on a hybrid working basis. This is a key role responsible for ensuring compliance with asbestos regulations and leading health and safety management across a diverse property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the lead subject matter expert for asbestos management and health & safety compliance
Ensure full compliance with relevant legislation, including Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and Health & Safety at Work Act
Oversee asbestos surveys, risk assessments, management plans, and remediation works
Manage and monitor appointed asbestos consultants and contractors
Provide professional advice and guidance to internal stakeholders, contractors, and senior management
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, implementing corrective actions
Develop, review, and update health and safety policies, procedures, and systems
Carry out audits, inspections, and performance monitoring
Prepare reports and present findings to senior leadershipEssential Requirements

Proven experience in asbestos management and health & safety within housing, property, or construction environments
Strong working knowledge of UK health & safety and asbestos legislation
Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH, BOHS, IOSH, or equivalent)
Experience managing external consultants and contractors
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently in a hybrid role
